Blender 2.8 Release Schedule Details

Blender 2.8 Code Quest is now complete, the massive changes are done and now it’s time to polish things up and turn Blender 2.8 into a shipping product.  The core Blender developers have released a time line of Blender 2.8’s road to full release.

  • July 2nd – Initial Alpha Release
  • August 12th – Beta Release
  • September 19th – Final Python API released (plugin upgrades begin)
  • October 20th – Release Candidate 1
